About Nicole

Nicole provides speech and language therapy from early intervention, for children and for adults

Nicole Cavalea is the founder of Strategies for Success.  She has worked in the field of communication disorders for eleven years. She received her M.S. degree in Speech and Language Pathology from San Jose State University. Nicole has professional expertise in the management and treatment of developmental speech and language disorders and neurological speech and language disorders. 

Nicole has extensive experience in working with children of all ages in the assessment, treatment and management of speech and language disorders associated with Autism, ADD, ADHD, Auditory Processing disorders and motor speech delays. She has also worked with the language rehabilitation of Adults, in sub-acute medical settings.  She values and enjoys collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, where she can incorporate strategies from occupational therapy to behavior modification into her treatment. When working with children, Nicole uses and teaches parents techniques that include, visual strategies, play, social skills, picture exchanges, social stories, sign, direct teaching, and oral-motor/motor-speech hierarchies.
